Division 2/3

Blue Raptors defeat Hot Cheetos 28-8; Qiu scores 10 Week 8 Damon Qiu scored 10 points and grabbed four rebounds to help lead the Blue Raptors to a dominant win over the Hot Cheetos 28-8. Darren Bracamontes, Vincent Hsueh, and Greyson Wong finished the game with four points apiece for the Blue Raptors. Ryan Tang had two points and eight boards while Neal O’Bryant finished the game with two points and seven rebounds. The Hot Cheetos’ Matthew Guan, Nathan Kwong, and Bradley Liu scored two points apiece. Guan recorded an assist and also had four rebounds while Kwong also grabbed five boards. The Blue Raptors will take on the Troublemakers next Sunday for the start of the playoffs while the Hot Cheetos face off against the Bombers.

Bombers light it up against Lightning, win 39-27 to complete perfect season Week 8 Caden Li had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, helping the Bombers past the Lightning 39-27 to finish off the season with a perfect record. The Bombers’ Connor Kung matched Li’s 14 and had an assist to go along with nine rebounds. Max Dang had five points, two assists, and 12 rebounds while Andrew Huerta had four points and four rebounds. Mason Voong had 19 points and nine rebounds for the Lightning. Austin Chung, Elliot Vogel, Preston Gittleman, and Nicholas Yap all finished the game with two points apiece. Gittleman also recorded two assists and five boards. The Bombers and the Hot Cheetos face off again next Sunday for their first game of the AYB playoffs.

Lake Show squeak by Green Monsters 26-25 Week 8 Keylon Daniels scored eight points and grabbed a whopping 19 rebounds as he helped the Lake Show secure a 26-25 win over the Green Monsters heading into next week's playoffs. Jasper Lai from the Lake Show also scored eight points and had two assists and nine rebounds. Ethan Yu finished the game with eight points and three boards. The Green Monsters’ Nathan He had 15 points and nine assists. Sanav Subramanian had eight points and three boards while Kenny Zou finished with two points, an assist, and two rebounds. The Lake Show will take on the Lightning next Sunday while the Green Monsters face off against the Mini Mambas.

Troublemakers defeat Mini Mambas in last game of season Week 8 Oliver Ng scored 15 points to go along with nine rebounds as he helped lead the Troublemakers to a 26-21 victory over the Mini Mambas to close out the regular season. Cooper Ranchez scored five points and grabbed four boards for the Troublemakers. Gary DeMena Jr., Evan Fu, and Ian Manalo scored two points apiece. Manalo also secured eight rebounds. The Mini Mambas were led by Aaron Wong’s eight points and 16 rebounds. Maximus Mendez scored nine points and grabbed five rebounds. James Gotlieb had four points, an assist, and three rebounds. The Troublemakers and Mini Mambas will face off again next Sunday for the first week of the AYB playoffs.

Division 4/5

Aces secure win over Hoop Force 39-33 Week 8 The Aces’ Jason Quan had a game-high 14 points to go along with five rebounds to help bring home the win over Hoop Force 39-33. Nolan Bone had a solid game for the Aces, scoring four points, grabbing five rebounds, and recording a game-high four assists. Noah He and Andy Zheng scored six points apiece while Austin Guo had five points and two dimes. Hoop Force was led by Ethan Zhou’s 10 points and 11 rebounds. Liam Voong had seven points to go along with nine rebounds. Jordan Mak had eight points and four boards while Carter Tillman had four points, two assists, and two rebounds. The Aces and Hoop Force match up once against next Sunday for week one of the AYB Playoffs.

Heat dim the light on Lights Out, win 51-38 Week 8 Justin Lam scored a game-high 28 points to go along with eight rebounds to help guide the Heat to a win over Lights Out 51-38. Aiden Li added 17 points, three assists, and seven rebounds for the Heat. Aaron Mastandrea chipped in with four points and 11 boards. Kyle Vuong had a team-high 16 points for Lights Out to go along with two assists and six rebounds. Adam Leung had 10 points and three rebounds while Christian Chan scored seven points and grabbed seven boards. The Heat take on the Orcas next Sunday while Lights Out go up against the Raptors for Week One of the AYB Playoffs.

Mamba Max cruise to 33-17 win over Wildcats Week 8 Connor Hsia scored 13 points and had two assists with three rebounds, guiding the Mamba Max to a win over the Wildcats 33-17. Mason Kuan added seven points and five rebounds for the Mamba Max. Ceon Bhattacharyya also had seven points. Damian Hall recorded four points, an assist, and four rebounds. The Wildcats’ Evan Chang scored five points with an assist coming in the final quarter. Noah Seo had four points and three rebounds, all coming in the second half. The Wildcats will take on the Lions next Sunday for Week One of the playoffs while the Mamba Max awaits their next opponent.

Raptors defeat Orcas 54-22 behind Sean Wang’s 16 Week 8 Sean Wang scored 16 points to go along with three assists and six rebounds to help guide the Raptors to a comfortable win over the Orcas 54-22. Kenrich Vuong had 12 points for the Raptors to go along with 10 rebounds. Jaden Ho recorded eight points, two assists, and eight rebounds while Riley Takaesu scored seven. Isis Pan had six points and five boards. The Orcas were led by Graison Wu’s 13 points. William Siu had seven points and six rebounds while Maxwell Mo rounded out the team’s scoring efforts with two points. Aaron Lu recorded one assist and three rebounds. The Raptors will take on Lights Out next Sunday while the Orcas face off against the Heat for Week One of the AYB Playoffs.

Yetis defeat Lions 58-34 behind Rana’s insane double-double Week 8 Pranish Rana had 38 points for the Yetis to go along with 22 rebounds to help the Yetis defeat the Lions 58-34. Jacob Li had an impressive outing with 10 points, five assists, and eight rebounds, tallying an all-around game for the Yetis. Isaac Su finished the game with six points, two assists, and four rebounds. The Lions’ William Wei led the way with 16 points and 13 rebounds while Cory Zhang had a team-high 17 points to go along with eight rebounds. The Lions will take on the Wildcats next Sunday for Week One of the playoffs while the Yetis await their next opponent.

Division 6/7

Black Widow defeats Cream City 47-22 behind Phan’s 25 Week 8 Matthew Phan scored a game-high 25 points to go along with five rebounds to help Black Widow secure the win over Cream City 47-22. Phan also added two assists. Logan Blythe had 12 points and eight rebounds while Derick Cheng recorded 10 points for the Widows. Cream City’s Aidan Wu led his team with 11 points and seven boards. Sydney Lee added seven points and five rebounds while Deven Ngan had two points, two assists, and two rebounds. Cream City takes on Give No Quarter in Week One of the AYB Playoffs next Sunday while Black Widow awaits their next opponent.

Bruins complete perfect season with 41-25 win over Eagles Week 8 Daniel Bai scored a game-high 22 points to help the Bruins defeat the Eagles 41-25, giving the team a perfect 8-0 record to end their regular season before heading into the playoffs. Ethan Tom and Samuel Bai scored five points apiece for the Bruins, with Tom also recording three assists and four boards. Levoe Daniels went scoreless but contributed with an assist and seven rebounds. The Eagles were led by Kai Taylor’s 14 points and 16 rebounds but it wasn’t enough. Quentin Kurniawan had five points and five boards. Kailyn Duong went scoreless but contributed with two assists and eight rebounds. The Eagles take on the Thunder Dragons next Sunday for Week One of the AYB Playoffs while the Bruins await their next opponent.

Thunder Dragons scrape by with 42-40 win over Give No Quarter Week 8 Chalmers Xu had 10 points to go along with 16 rebounds to help the Thunder Dragons squeak by Give No Quarter 42-40. Blake Newman had a team-high 13 points for the Thunder Dragons and also recorded two assists and seven rebounds. Jayden Calm added 10 points and three boards. Connor Ng had seven points. GNQ’s Xavier Miller had a game-high 21 points with three boards. Mason Lee added eight points and eight rebounds. Andy Chan chipped in with seven points while Ray Lin and Jonathan Won had two points apiece. The Thunder Dragons face off against the Eagles next Sunday while GNQ take on Cream City for Week One of the AYB Playoffs.

Division 8/9/10

Dylan Vasquez's heroic efforts fall short as Wolves lose 58-56 Week 8 Timothy Kwan and Jayden Zhang scored 15 points apiece as the West Coast Ballers escaped with a narrow victory over the winless Wolves 58-56 in their final games of the regular season. Zhang also recorded five rebounds. Jeronimo Moras had 11 points and 15 rebounds, securing a double-double. Vincent Guan chipped in with nine points to go along with eight boards. Dylan Vasquez had an incredible game for the Wolves, scoring a game-high 21 points and securing three boards. Tyler Yeung was the next man up with 14 points, four assists, and two boards. Sunny Villaneda chipped in with eight points. The West Coast Ballers face off against the Tigers next Sunday while the Wolves take on the Black Mambas for Week One of the AYB Playoffs.

Tigers defeat Black Mambas 55-43, ends their perfect season on last game Week 8 Jason Wu tied for a game-high with teammate Jayden Hsu for 12 points to go along with three assists and seven rebounds, leading the Tigers to an upset victory over the Black Mambas 55-43 and ending the Mambas hopes of a perfect regular season record. Hsu also added seven rebounds. Marcello Trieu had 11 points, three assists, and five rebounds for the Tigers. Lincoln Pardini chipped in with six points and four assists. Derek Wang led the way for the Mambas with nine points, three assists, and four rebounds. Charlie Liu had 10 points and six rebounds before fouling out in the final quarter. Tyler Tran and Maxwell Weng finished the game with eight points apiece. The Tigers go into the playoffs next Sunday against the West Coast Ballers while the Black Mambas are set to face off with the Wolves.
